Happy New Year From Indietude!
First off, I apologize for the delay in publishing this issue. I had one of
those incredibly sucky December's which included a death in my family
at the end of November and the total shock and depression of my
brother screwing me over (without lube) via a phone bill. So much for
the holiday's - Fa La La La La.
As you can see, there have been a few positive changes in our format
thanks to Danielle Egnew (see Biz news column). Being the creative
lady Danielle is, she has captured Indietude perfectly in our new logo
and site buttons. Special thanks to Danielle for the graphic
goodies and for joining us at Indietude. Danielle’s column will
appear as a regular feature in Biz Newz, a section dedicated to indie
artists with useful information and insight into the biz. We are honored
to feature her column at Indietude.
Also, Special Thanks and a shout out to Heatherton of Pink Slip
for her kind assistance in adding the necessary links to accommodate
our new art work. You rock Web Mistress!
Because it’s the end of the year, we are doing a retrospective this
month highlighting past musical glories and milestones i.e. Patti Smith
and Bob Dylan. Our A Side features our interview with our own poster
child - Damon Pipitone. In our Got Live Dept. we are highlighting some
of the artists Sandra Molina photographed this year. You will see more
of Sandra’s photo work in the coming months.
Because of the incredible response to our request for CD submittals
(she said sarcastically), we are reviewing a number of artists that
impressed us in 2005. We still hope that you will use our official PO
Box and send us your CD for review.
Thus far, Indietude has gotten a pretty good response since our
premier issue. The hits to this web site have been strong and
constant and I’d like to thank a number of artists for the links to
the site. (L.P. Devious Planet, and Missy Gibson).
In closing, I’d like to wish everyone a Rockin Good New Year.
Thanks
D. E. Keith

Our Mission Statement
We are committed to highlighting independent artists in music, film,
theatre, art, free thought and expression regardless of gender or
artistic genre.
We want to encourage passion, attitude for life and free expression
by highlighting those artists and free thinkers who are willing to
stand or fall by their passion and creativity.
We are committed to providing a non-membership website to all
Indie artists who submit their creative endeavors for review and
consideration. We will provide a ‘no bullshit’ review zone. We
believe if you have the balls to be an Indie artist, then you
should have the balls to handle another person’s opinion.
Ultimately, our goal is to promote networking within the Indie
Community (artists & businesses) as well as promote political
and social activism among that community.
Lastly, we want to encourage the love of music and artistic
expression in our culture today and promote the arts in education
and life in general.
